English TOLC-F Guide: CEnT-S Replacement Info

CISIA replaced English TOLC-F with CEnT-S (CISIA English Test – Sciences) in November 2025. English TOLC-E and English TOLC-I were retired at the same time.

If you are applying now for an English-taught degree in Pharmacy, Engineering, Economics or the sciences in Italy, CEnT-S is the test you sit.

CEnT-S is 65 questions in 140 minutes: Reading and Comprehension 10, Mathematics 15, Reasoning on Texts and Data 15, Biology 10, Chemistry 10, Physics 5. Scoring is +1 / 0 / −0.25, then normalised.

Each section is separately timed and unused time does not carry over.

* Exam Format: Administered online (TOLC@CASA) or at university computer labs (TOLC@UNI).

* Registration Fee: €30.00 payable directly on the official CISIA portal (cisiaonline.it).

* Session Windows: CISIA holds monthly sessions from February through October. You can retake the TOLC-F once per calendar month.

* Score Validity: Your highest valid score can be submitted to multiple Italian university selection calls.
