Overall difficulty

High — 55 questions in 110 minutes. Mathematics and Reasoning on Texts & Data account for over 50% of the total score.

Question style

Multiple-choice (5 options, 1 correct). Questions test quantitative math skills, textual argumentation, data table interpretation, molecular biology, stoichiometry, and physics fundamentals in English.

Time per question

Exactly 2.0 minutes per question across Mathematics, Reasoning, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

What this platform covers

Mathematics: quadratic equations, Vieta formulas, logarithmic properties, trigonometry, Cartesian geometry
Reasoning on Texts and Data: textual argument analysis, data tables, percentage shares, chart trends, statistical inference
Biology: cell organelles, active transport, DNA replication, transcription, translation, Mendelian inheritance
Chemistry: stoichiometry, mole conversions, molarity, pH calculations, buffer solutions, organic functional groups
Physics: kinematics, Newton's second law, work-energy theorem, Stevin's law, Archimedes, Ohm's law

Exam-day tips

1Manage section timers carefully: each section is timed separately and unused minutes do not transfer to subsequent sections.
2In Reasoning on Texts and Data, audit table column headers and units before computing percentage changes.
3Do not guess blindly — wrong answers carry a −0.25 point penalty.
4Scoring 35+ out of 55 historically secures a competitive rank for English-taught scientific degree programs in Italy.
