Quantitative chemistry problems require calculating moles, concentrations, and yields.

  • Fundamental Formula: \(n = \frac{m}{M}\) where \(n\) = moles, \(m\) = mass (g), \(M\) = molar mass (g/mol).
  • Molarity (Concentration): \(C = \frac{n}{V}\) (mol/L).
  • Limiting Reagent: Divide available moles of each reactant by its stoichiometric coefficient in the balanced equation. The reactant with the smaller ratio is completely consumed.
