Part 1 of 1
False friends are English words that look similar to Italian words but mean something entirely different. Key examples: 'actually' means 'in reality/in fact' (NOT 'attualmente', which is 'currently'). 'Sensible' means 'reasonable/wise' (NOT 'sensibile', which is 'sensitive').
'Eventual' means 'ultimate/final' (NOT 'eventuale', which is 'possible/contingent'). 'Notice' means 'announcement/warning' (NOT 'notizia', which is 'news'). Memorize these differences to avoid trap choices.
Worked example
Sentence: 'He is a sensible investor.' Means: He is a wise/prudent investor. It does NOT mean he is emotional or easily hurt.
1.The English word 'actually' translates directly to the Italian 'attualmente'.
2.The word 'sensible' in English describes someone who shows good judgment and common sense.
3.The English word 'eventual' means something that happens as a final result after a process.
