English adjectives take fixed dependent prepositions. Crucial pairs to memorize: interested IN, responsible FOR, capable OF, aware OF, similar TO, different FROM.
Avoid literal translations from Italian. For instance, 'dipendente da' translates to 'dependent ON' (not 'from'), and 'consapevole di' translates to 'aware OF'.
Worked example
Correct: 'The manager is responsible for 12 employees' (responsible FOR). Incorrect: 'The manager is responsible of 12 employees'.
