Applying in Italy

Politecnico di Torino

Torino · public university

Politecnico di Torino is one of Italy's premier engineering institutions, founded in 1859. Undergraduate engineering admission has historically used the proprietary computer-based TIL-I examination. Starting from the 2027/2028 academic year, the university joins the CISIA consortium and will require in-person CISIA tests (TOLC@UNI and CEnT@UNI). Remote tests taken at home (TOLC@CASA, CEnT@CASA) will not be accepted, so applicants abroad must sit the test in person at a university.

For bachelor degrees under the last published engineering call, applicants sat the TIL-I test in English or Italian. For the 2027/28 intake, Politecnico di Torino officially switches to in-person CISIA tests (TOLC@UNI and CEnT@UNI). Remote tests taken at home (TOLC@CASA, CEnT@CASA) will not be accepted, so applicants abroad must sit the test in person at a university.
