Inglese

Tempi verbali e forme passive

"She has been working here for five years." (È ancora qui.) - Simple Past: azione completata in un momento passato specifico. "She worked here in 2015." (Non ci lavora più.)

Trappola tipica: "She has been working here since 2015" → Present Perfect ✓ (since = dal 2015 a ora).

Forma passiva — come riconoscerla e costruirla Struttura: soggetto + be (coniugato) + participio passato. "The bridge was built in 1850." (Non "built" da solo — senza il verbo be, non è una frase passiva completa.)

Frasi condizionali — le quattro che devi sapere - Zero: "If water reaches 100°C, it boils." (verità generale: presente + presente) - First: "If it rains, I will stay home." (futuro possibile: presente + will) - Second: "If I knew the answer, I would tell you." (ipotetica presente: past simple + would) - Third: "If I had known, I would have told you." (impossibile passato: past perfect + would have)

⚡ Al test vedrai principalmente la seconda condizionale. "If I ___ the answer, I would tell you" → knew. Ricordatelo.

Discorso indiretto — spostamento dei tempi "I am ready" → She said she was ready. "Did you finish?" → She asked me if I had finished. (notare: "if", non "that", nelle domande indirette)

Exam strategy

Focus on understanding underlying concepts — exam questions test application, not memorization.
