Parte 1 di 1
The International System of Units (SI) is built on seven fundamental base units: meter (m, length), kilogram (kg, mass), second (s, time), ampere (A, electric current), kelvin (K, temperature), mole (mol, amount), and candela (cd, luminous intensity).
All other physical quantities are derived. For example, force is measured in newtons (1 N = 1 kg*m/s2), work and energy in joules (1 J = 1 N*m = 1 kg*m2/s2), power in watts (1 W = 1 J/s), and pressure in pascals (1 Pa = 1 N/m2).
Force (Newton)
1 N = 1 kg × m / s2
Derived from F = m × a
Energy (Joule)
1 J = 1 N × m = 1 kg × m2 / s2
Derived from W = F × d
Power (Watt)
1 W = 1 J / s = 1 kg × m2 / s3
Rate of energy transfer
Pressure (Pascal)
1 Pa = 1 N / m2 = 1 kg / (m × s2)
Force distributed over area
Esempio svolto
